Crafted for the modern musician seeking a versatile instrument that delivers That Great Gretsch Sound! synonymous with rock 'n' roll, the G2655 is a sleek music machine that combines updated features with classic Gretsch aesthetics.
At the heart of the Streamliner's distinctive tone are the Broad’Tron™ BT-2S humbucking pickup and spruce center block. The Broad’Tron pickup, exclusive to the Streamliner Collection, offers high output with enhanced definition, tight bass response, clear highs, and a rich midrange. The spruce center block not only reinforces the top but also minimizes unwanted feedback, ensuring volume-friendly performance on any stage.
The traditional control layout of the G2655 includes neck and bridge pickup volume controls, a master tone control, master volume control, and three-way pickup switching, allowing for versatile tonal shaping. The guitar features a fast-playing 12”-radius laurel fingerboard with pearloid Big Block inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a white-bound nato neck with a thin “U”-shaped profile, ideal for both chord work and intricate riffing. The Gretsch V-Stoptail tailpiece, anchored Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, and synthetic bone nut contribute to rock-solid tuning stability.
Exuding classic Gretsch style, the G2655 boasts vintage-style black control knobs, enlarged F-holes for enhanced acoustic projection, elegant aged white binding with upgraded purfling, nickel hardware, three-ply tortoise pickguard, and arched laminated maple construction. Its smaller body design makes it easy to play while commanding the stage, making it a standout choice for modern musicians looking to captivate audiences.
